The Rutgers University – Camden chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa has been named a recipient of the 2018 Maurice A. Clay Leadership Development Initiative Grant. The Scarlet Circle will host an Empowerment Brunch in March 2018 for students who are currently members of The National Leadership Honor Society, as well as students who are interested in further developing their leadership skills.

Dr. Richard Demirjian, the Faculty Adviser to the Scarlet Circle, completed the grant application and has arranged for Ellen Marshall to lead the Maurice A. Clay Empowerment Brunch, which will be made possible by this grant. Ellen Marshall is a Senior Program and Organization Management Leader with 20 years of increasing and diverse responsibility in health care policy, professional education and community health programming. 

The Leadership Institute at Rutgers University – Camden houses The Scarlet Circle, and brought the charter of Omicron Delta Kappa to Rutgers University – Camden in May 2017.
