The Leadership Institute was proud to host Dr. Andrew Shankman, Associate Professor of History at Rutgers University – Camden, to discuss his recently published book, Original Intents: Hamilton, Jefferson, Madison, and the American Founding. Dr. Richard Demirjian, Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of The Leadership Institute, facilitated a series of questions based upon Dr. Shankman’s research and how theories of leadership have shifted over time.
Several students who attend reported a discovery of a newfound interest in history such as LJ, who mentioned, “I never considered how interested I would be in early American history as a business student”. Arianna reported that she looks forward to applying some of the discussed historical leadership concepts to her final papers.
We are very grateful to Dr. Shankman and the Rutgers University – Camden Department of History for joining our students at this timely event.
